Started carrying a disposable camera on the same three-block loop every morning. The rule is simple: one frame per stoplight. It forces me to pay attention to what the neighborhood is doing instead of doomscrolling while I wait.
By the time the roll is done, I forget half the shots. Picking up the prints a week later feels like opening a time capsule of small moments: wet sidewalks, a coffee cup someone left on a fence post, the way sunrise bounces off the apartment windows.
The scans get taped above my desk. I like that there’s no endless editing. Just thirty-ish chances to notice the ordinary.
